Dog separation anxiety support in London
Positive reinforcement, one-to-one support. Some dogs find being left genuinely frightening. The answer is not to let them cry it out, but to rebuild their sense of safety in small, manageable steps.
What separation anxiety can look like
Separation-related behaviour can include barking, pacing, toileting, chewing near doors or becoming worried as soon as you pick up your keys. We use observation and a gradual plan shaped around the point at which your dog begins to struggle.
- Barking, howling or whining when alone
- Pacing, panting or watching the door
- Chewing around doors or windows
- Anxiety when you prepare to leave
Good to know: Severe separation anxiety may need support from your vet or a clinical animal behaviourist alongside training.
